Many people talk about writing a novel but not so many achieve it. Why? Yes, it’s not easy, but more likely because they don’t have the tools, experience or the sounding board to take their initial idea and grow it into a complete first draft of a novel - which is where I come in.

Completing a first draft of a novel can often take years, so I’ve come up with a package to change that and make our writing goals achievable within a set timescale.

Working 1-2-1 either in person or on Teams, I will guide, inspire and ensure you achieve your complete first draft in a warm, supportive and encouraging way.

Via unlimited Teams and critique sessions, we will work together to achieve that incredible goal - your completed first draft. Working both creativelya nd structurally, we will build your story via solid foundations, to ensure it grows at a delightful pace.

Up for the challenge? You can do it for sure, and with us working together, I know the end result will be awesome.

And from there on, you will be able to hone and polish your manuscript until ready to submit to literary agents and publishers.

Just to say - whilst completing a first draft is a huge achievement, it is at that point that the subsequent stages come into effect (rewrites, editing, an even-more-detailed structural assessment of the plot) to further develop your manuscript. There’s a saying in the literary world, that the best books are not written, they are re-written. I.E., re-writes and editing are what makes a novel good enough for a bookshop shelf. However, without a complete first draft, that final product will never materialise - and it’s that key first draft we will be working towards.

Each session, you will receive feedback from me in how to improve your technique, to ensure you improve daily and weekly.

Suitability?

This package is suited to writers either with a project underway, or to beginners looking to accelerate their learning.

How flexible are the sessions?

Very. My schedule is flexible by design and students often vary their session times each day and week. Naturally, we’ll synch diaries on a given day to match.

Are the sessions intense?

No. They are designed to be easy going, relaxed and fun, for that is when we produce our best work. My mantra is to deliver the best coaching I can in a warm, supportive and encouraging environment.

What’s the first step: that’s two fold: 1) we look into your story idea and discuss where you’d like it to go etc. 2) together, we create a daily and weekly action plan, which will constantly evolve as the project builds.

How much does this package cost?

Based on two sessions per week (1 x critique session of 2,000-3,000 words & 1 x Teams session) over 30 weeks = minimum of 60 sessions.

£795.00 - giving unlimited coaching, brainstorming, critiquing, editorial and advice sessions.

How is the price calculated?
