** As you would be joining an existing group, I would first like to chat via Teams to ascertain that the group is a good fit, so to speak. This is simply to ensure the environment works the best for you to achieve your creative goals. (Should it not, there will be other coaching options available.)

(*Once enrolled, should the course not go ahead and there is no suitable alternative course you’d like to transfer to, you will receive a full and immediate refund. Please note, PayPal refunds can take 3-5 working days to process.)

Format: In-class discussion, exercises, plus homework and in-depth critique, with the emphasis on reaching a completed first draft/ your editorial goals.

Age: 18 and above. (I am DBS checked)

Description: This creative writing course is suitable for those with advanced projects on the way towards first draft completion (*please read note above about pre-enrolment Teams chat to ensure suitability), or who have a completed first draft and are now wishing to polish it with a view to submitting to literary agents and/or publishers for representation.

Course Outline: In a warm, fun and inspiring environment, we will continue to strive towards the major milestone of completing the first draft of your novel, plus, for those who have already done so, we will continue the editorial process.

Each week, I will critique more of your work, and as a group we will discuss and read-out our latest pieces for five minutes, plus also discuss topical aspects of writing to ensure our skills and inspiration remain refreshed and engaged. Throughout this process, the nuts and bolts of the creative process will constantly be revisited, thus ensuring you produce your best writing possible.

Key strategy: this follow-on course will strive to ensure all students complete their first draft and begin the editing process. Homework will be critiqued as such, conveying how we can now begin polishing our work, making it tighter and as sparkling as possible.

At the end of this course, my aim is for you all to have completed your first draft and be well into the editing process, leading you towards having a completed second draft. And again, with hard work (plus doubtless much enjoyment and many laughs along the way), there is no reason why this cannot be achievable.
